AMITA HEALING CREAMS
Our creams are very different from the creams you usually buy in stores. They are not stocked but rather custom designed to address a specific skin condition
Most creams contain dangerous ingredients, because they are cheap, readily available, easily diluted, and have an indefinite shelf-life.
Here is a list of some of them:
- Petroleum products like Mineral oil, Paraffin and Petrolatum coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins which in turn can lead to dermatological issues and slowing of cellular development resulting in premature aging.
- Parabens used as preservatives, are found to be connected with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities - mimicking estrogen - and interfere with the body's endocrine system.
- Phenol carbolic acid - can causes circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.
- Propylene glycol shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities.
- Acrylamide linked to mammary tumors in lab research.
- Sodium laurel, lauryl sulfate or laureth sulfate - found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners... it breaks down the skin's moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals it becomes a potent carcinogen.
It is well-proven that when you apply these chemicals to your skin, they enter your bloodstream and become integrated into your body tissues. It is probably safer to eat these ingredients (although we do not recommend it) because your digestive system can produce specific enzymes to break down these toxins and excrete them… something that doesn't occur when they absorbed through the skin.
We use only natural or organic ingredients, derived from living plants, that nourish, protect and heal your skin. Our creams contain Organic Beeswax, Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Omega 3 Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Vitamin A, Vitamin E... we also use essential oils such as Carrot Seed, Rosemary, Clary Sage, Lavender, Rose, Frankincense, Sea Buckthorn, Jasmine, Chamomile, Geranium ...
